STATEMENT ON COVID-19
KEEPING YOU INFORMED
Clear, accurate information is vital during times of crisis. Our company is making every effort to keep you informed about how we are responding to the COVID-19 outbreak.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
- We have implemented the following policies to protect our employees and customers from exposure to the virus.
If an employee has been exposed to the coronavirus or has symptoms like those of the coronavirus, we are asking them to stay home until they can be tested or otherwise cleared. - All employees who can work from home are doing so. This includes nearly all of our staff members, only a few essential personnel are actively stationed at our offices.
- Our offices have been closed to the public and will remain so until it has been deemed safe to reopen by government health officials. Please call with any questions you may have about your service and use one of our many convenient payment options to pay your bill without visiting our office.
- Before any employee will be dispatched to a customer’s home for a service call, we will ask the customer a series of questions to determine the risk of exposure to our employee. If any risk exists, the service call will be rescheduled if possible. If the service call is an emergency, special precautions must be taken by our employee and our customers before a visit can be made.
- We have implemented a safe install procedure that drastically limits customer contact. This procedure will be discussed during the appointment
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO HELP
- For the months of April and May, the LTC family of Companies will provide the services below for customers and residents with students at home (K-12 and college) who live in our telephone company areas, as well as our current LCI Fiber Optic broadband customers.
- For current DSL customers, we will temporarily increase their internet access to the highest level possible (up to 10 Mbps download) at no additional cost.
- For current customers who have telephone only, we will provide DSL Internet access up to 10 Mbps at no cost.
- For other residents in Tidewater and Lincolnville Telephone Company areas who do not have our phone connection, we will provide the phone line and DSL internet access up to 10 Mbps download at no cost.
- For current customers who have our O.P.E.N. Fiber Optic broadband, we will upgrade their service to a minimum of 50 Mbps download at no additional cost.

Note:
At this time, to protect our staff, new installations work will be limited to the outside of the home only. Customers will then receive instructions by phone for the next steps to complete Internet access inside the home.
New installations may be limited by availability of network resources. DSL speeds are limited by distance from our central office locations.
HELPING WITH ECONOMIC HARDSHIP
For many industries, the impact of COVID-19 will be felt immediately. Many of our customers may see their income impacted as they are told to stay home from work. As a service provider invested in our communities, we are committed to helping our customers get through these uncertain times. Our company will temporarily suspend all disconnections for non-payment during this crisis.
However, customer will still be responsible for any balance due. Please contact our office to discuss your situation with one of our Service Reps.
Our company also offers a variety of digital services to help you pay your bill and conduct other utility business from home.
